Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details: names, email address, gender, preferred language, partner email.
• Matching answers: questionnaire responses and budget preferences.
• Session data: booking times, therapist assignment, payment status (card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us).
• Sensitive care information: messages, notes, documents, weekly check-ins and worksheets. These are end-to-end encrypted with keys unlocked by your password; we cannot read them.
• Technical data: IP-derived country, device and security logs.

2. How we use it

• To match you with therapists, schedule and hold sessions, and process payments.
• To send booking confirmations, calendar invites and account emails.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

Special care-required personal information (health-related data) is only processed with your consent.

3. Sharing and overseas transfer

We share data only with your assigned therapist and with service providers needed to run Kizunō: cloud hosting and database, Stripe (payments), Google (video sessions and calendar invites) and email delivery. Some providers store data outside Japan (e.g. the United States); we select providers with safeguards equivalent to APPI standards. We never sell personal information.

4. Security

Encryption in transit and at rest, end-to-end encryption of care content, two-factor authentication, automatic sign-out after 15 minutes of inactivity, role-based access and audit logging.

5. Retention

We keep data while your account is active and as required by law. After an approved deletion request, your records, files and login are erased.

6. Your rights

You may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or a copy of your data (available from Settings in the client portal), and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at the address below.
